Empowering Today’s Youth to Lead Tomorrow
Beit Tzipora champions equality and equips Ethiopian Israelis and other community members through education, development, and support.
Beit Tzipora
Is Shaping Futures
Founded in the mid-1990s by the Elie Wiesel Foundation to support Ethiopian Jewish children making Aliyah in response to violence in Africa, Beit Tzipora now drives socio-economic and educational equality through its Centers in Ashkelon and Kiryat Malachi, equipping community members with critical resources.
The Ashkelon Center offers after-school programs and summer camps for children in grades 1–6 while supporting families and welcoming all community members, regardless of race or ethnicity. The Kiryat Malachi Center serves children in grades 1–12, with a strong focus on middle and high school students.
Serving 600 students annually, Beit Tzipora stands as a beacon in the community—removing barriers, providing opportunities, and empowering families through education, support, and resilience-building in times of need.
- We are fully committed to helping Ethiopian Israelis and other community members learn, grow, and fully participate in Israeli society.

Educational
Remediation
We believe in every student’s ability to achieve high academic outcomes, including a matriculation diploma that opens doors to further studies.
Innovative teaching methods provide assimilation assistance to those who struggle to communicate or be accepted in Israeli society.
The Centers provide remedial teaching to fill academic gaps, creating preventative programs that identify educational challenges, support students transitioning between educational levels, and empower those with poor results to stay in school. We utilize Et Hadaat, an interactive computer program that allows children to work at their own pace on core subjects such as math, Hebrew, and English.
University for the Young introduces students to fields like medicine, psychology, and law as they near graduation, helping them explore future career paths.

Digital Literacy
This comprehensive program is designed for children with an interest in computer science, technology, and programming—providing students with a solid foundation in the world of computers and high-tech industry.
Advancement in Israel’s high-tech society demands a state-of-the-art education in STEM subjects, a challenge Marion Wiesel anticipated for immigrants pursuing specialized military programs and university admission.
Throughout the program, students who successfully complete their assessments are paired with personal mentors from the high-tech industry and are given a laptop to continue their learning at home. The program supports students from early education through grade 12, guiding them toward integration into elite fields like the IDF’s 8200 unit and top technology sectors.
Our classrooms are buzzing with energy, as students dive into the world of technology, enjoying hands-on experiences that spark their creativity and passion for innovation!

Emotional Wellbeing
We’re committed to nurturing mental strength and resilience in children and their families. Our programs extend beyond the child, providing support to the entire family and ensuring a holistic approach to emotional wellbeing. We nurture well-rounded citizens by engaging students in art, music, and wellness activities that support both physical and emotional health.
The Centers offer a variety of services, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to address anxiety and promote emotional growth. We also offer creative therapies such as arts, cooking, dance, talking, and photography, helping individuals express themselves and build mental resilience.
Amid the ongoing security conflict and threat from missiles and rockets, we place a strong emphasis on the mental health of children and their families, helping our community adapt to constant threats, security changes, and uncertainty. With many fathers on reserve duty, our Centers have become a vital source of emotional support, assisting families in navigating daily challenges.

Community and Family Support
At the heart of our mission, the Centers empower families, strengthen local bonds, and serve as a vital anchor through programs, workshops, and activities that support growth and encourage collective action.
We provide the Mitgala support group for women focusing on empowerment, as well as financial literacy programs teaching the fundamentals of money management and budgeting. Our volunteering programs encourage involvement, fostering a spirit of giving back and mutual support.
Throughout the year, we host several events that bring people together, creating opportunities for connection and shared experiences.

Extracurriculars
Our extracurricular programs are designed to inspire creativity, promote personal growth, and enhance skills outside the classroom.
We provide engaging activities such as art, cooking, dance, and photography, allowing children to explore their passions and express themselves, alongside enriching experiences like summer camps, leadership initiatives, and student exchange programs.
These opportunities help students build confidence, develop leadership skills, and connect with peers from diverse backgrounds, all while creating lasting memories and expanding their horizons.

How We Achieve Impact
